Laundry Powder

Making my own homemade laundry powder has been one of the best natural swaps for my home. Not only does it leave clothes smelling fresh and feeling clean, but it also gives me peace of mind knowing exactly what ingredients are being used on my family’s clothing and linens. This simple blend combines powerful natural cleaning agents with calming lavender essentials oil for fresh, relaxing scent without all the harsh chemicals found in many store brought detergents.

I created this laundry powder using 1.5 cup washing soda, .5 cup Epson salt, 1.5 cup Baking soda, 1 bar Castile soap, 25 drops Lavender essential oil. Each ingredient brings its own unique benefits to the mix. Washing soda helps break down dirt, grease, and stains, while naturally softening water for a deeper clean. Baking soda works as a deodorizer, helping eliminate tough odors and leaving clothes feeling refreshed. Grated Castile soap is gentle plant based cleanser that lifts away dirt while reamaining safe for sentive skin. Epsom salt can help soften fabrics naturally, while the lanveder scent and essential oils create a calming aroma therapy experanice every time you wash your clothes.

Why I love Homemade Laundry Powder:

  • Budget friendly and long lasting
  • Made with simple household ingredients
  • Free from harsh chemicals and additives
  • Leave clothes smelling fresh and clean
  • Easy to customize with your favorite scent
